Judith Briggs is the principal colour designer of Colour Consultants Australia Pty Limited. With a lifelong interest in all aspects of colour and a career with colour and design experience in a diverse range of industries over many years, for the past eleven years Judith has specialised in the residential and commercial property area.

Projects have included individual rooms through to complete interior and exterior colours and finishes for contemporary and period homes. Her work has also involved a range of corporate offices, restaurants, cafes and other commercial and community buildings, including two places of religion.

In all projects, many factors are considered in determining the ultimate choices for colours and finishes. Colours affect people on a physical, mental and emotional level, although they may not consciously be aware of this. Colours can be stimulating, relaxing or even depressing. Therefore, the function of the space is an important consideration, along with size, aspect, lighting, architecture, desired style and mood.

Consideration of the desired corporate image, employee morale and customer response are all of primary importance in commercial spaces.

When it comes to a person’s home, the additional aspect of expressing who lives in the house is essential to ensure the result is a home with soul and reflects the owners' unique personalities and lifestyle.

During on-site consultations, Judith draws on her broad colour and product knowledge and expertise, together with her excellent communication and observation skills to ascertain client’s tastes, needs and aspirations. Imagery may be used for inspiration, as well as the client’s existing furniture and fittings, to deliver an innovative solution.

Judith’s passion is creating fun, exotic and eclectic interior spaces.

For the past 3 years, Judith has held the position of Chairperson for the NSW chapter of The Colour Society of Australia, and holds a position on the National Executive.
